All this information will help us to investigate your concerns further. However, after investigation, it may be established that no offence has been committed and no further action will be taken. If an offence is identified, however, it will be dealt with in line with current policies and procedures.
Lastly, please think before going public with any information on things like social media platforms. In many cases, once information is public, we may not be able to use it. And most importantly, please do not take the law in to your own hands.
You can use this page to report any kind of marine related activity you think may be suspicious.
The report can be anonymous but if you provide contact details it will help us if any clarification is required.
It is important that you include as much detail as you can such as:
- Exactly what you saw and where were you in relation to the activity?
- Any vessel names, numbers, sizes, colours or any distinguishing features?
- If you saw any people, what were they doing and can you describe them in detail?
- Where it happened and any points or landmarks?
